Heritage Exhibits

At Mayo Clinic, nature plays a vital role in providing hope and renewal.  All Mayo campuses are designed to harmonize with the environment and include gardens, trails and other green spaces that offer respite for our patients and staff.

This exhibit presents images and video highlighting the ways natural elements are woven into all of Mayo’s campuses, the impact nature has on healing and Mayo’s dedication to environmental stewardship.

This iconic artifact was originally created for Mayo Clinic’s exhibit at the 1933 Century of Progress Exhibition in Chicago and is an example of Mayo using technology, visualization, exhibit design and communication to share medical knowledge.  After the exhibition closed, the Transparent Man was used as an educational tool at Mayo Clinic in Rochester for many years.

The refreshed exhibit features a short video describing how the Transparent Man was created and its utilization in public health.
