Saint Marys Chapel Mayo Clinic Hospital
Concourse view with organ and pews

Introduction

When the 1904 chapel could no longer accommodate the growing number of patients, staff, and visitors, the Sisters began planning an expansion. This new addition, which includes the Concourse, opened in 1932. Above the concourse is a balcony made of Appalachian oak, which matches the chapel’s pews and enhances the warmth and unity of the space, while contributing to the chapel’s timeless architecture.
