New exhibit highlights the changing face of Mayo Clinic's Rochester campus
Today, more than ever, Mayo Clinic staff and patients are witnessing the transformative impact of Bold. Forward. Unbound. in Rochester. The initiative advances Mayo Clinic’s Bold. Forward. strategy through an investment that includes the construction of two state-of-the-art clinical facilities, an innovative logistics center and two new patient parking structures. When complete, it will redefine downtown Rochester and elevate the Mayo Clinic experience.
This exhibit invites you to explore Mayo Clinic’s evolution on the Rochester campus, highlighting the history of construction and the removal of buildings over time. Discover scrapped architectural plans and learn why parking availability has remained a constant topic of discussion. You will find a timeline of major construction and demolition events at Mayo Clinic, a variety of building construction photographs, newspaper clippings and interesting artifacts.
Curated by staff in the Mayo Clinic Archives in Rochester, this online exhibit is available to view on the Mayo Clinic Archives’ website.
